Summer Fun!

The USU Dietetics program slowed down (just a little bit) during the summer, but we were still up to some wonderful things.

Melodie Haslam has been fine-tuning her food service
skills by working for a catering company this summer.

Ashley Lee was the head cook at Teton High Adventure Boy Scout camp! Looks
 like it was sure beautiful....

 and messy!

Brianna Hardisty and Stacey James spent a month in Guatemala doing nutritional screening
and dietary recalls for research for Liahona Nutrition Education and Foundation, a non-profit organization.

Our students and staff are also preparing for the 2013-2014 Soup Connection by buying and preserving locally grown produce from the local Gardener's Market (Yippee- are you as excited as us?)

In conjunction with Food $ense, we are giving out free, yes FREE, yummy samples at the Cache Valley Gardener's Market showcasing the fruits and veggies that are in season.

Our spring graduates are finding jobs, starting internships, and moving onto thrilling new adventures.

We will be recapping some of the awesome experiences we had during the school year now that we have a minute to breathe (stay tuned!)

What did YOU do this summer to stay healthy???
